Hi, I just downloaded and activated GDPRess. The first time I scanned there was just one JS file with an error message and no CSS. I flushed the cache and scanned again, but that did nothing. After a brief page reload I still see the Wow, such empty!… message.

Also, I am hoping to use this to load and subset FontAwesome. Is that possible?

    Thanks!

Are you using Redis (or another type of DB caching?) if so, give that a flush, that might give you a fresh list of files.

Subsetting FontAwesome won’t ever be possible, because it’s waaay beyond the scope of this plugin. But, I do have support for the FontAwesome (async) JS library on my TODO list.

Thanks for the quick response! I use W3, and the cPanel Cache manager, so I flushed them both, and then I got the same error as the first time. I tried to screenshot it but it didn’t seem to work. Anyhow, it had the Hurray! message with JS but nothing in any of the columns, and an error at the top of the page stating:

Ouch! Gdpress encountered an error while downloading?javascript;base64,dmFyIGhlYWQ9ZG9jdW1lbnQuZ2V0RWx: A valid URL was not provided.

If it is not possible to subset FontAwesome it may not be worth it to use this plugin since I am already using OMGF Pro? I have a few questions in there too, so you don’t need to respond to this as I will probably focus my energy there.

Thanks for the great support though!

    Ah, that error makes sense.

An optimization plugin might be base64 encoding your URLs and at the moment GDPRess isn’t validating URLs. I’ll add it to my todo list!

To be fair, I haven’t had time to update GDPRess in a long time. It deserves more attention but I simply don’t have the time. I do have big plans, though! So, once I do have time I’ll make sure a lot of cool stuff’ll be introduced! ??
