    Hello. I’ve been trying to scan my website but this error persists:

    Scan Engine Error: The signature on the request to start a scan is invalid. Please try again.

    The error logs also reported this

    WordPress database error Table ‘maddoxlu_wp105.wpl4_wfConfig’ doesn’t exist for query SELECT name, val, autoload FROM wpl4_wfConfig WHERE name = ‘debugOn’ made by require_once(‘wp-load.php’), require_once(‘wp-config.php’), require_once(‘wp-settings.php’), include_once(‘/plugins/wordfence/wordfence.php’), wordfence::install_actions, wordfence::runInstall, wordfence::status, wordfence::isDebugOn, wfConfig::get

    I have already deactivated-activated Wordfence and I have the latest WP. I will send to you the result of the diagnostic as well.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi @pilocampaner, thanks for reaching out and sending your diagnostic over.

    From what I can see, database permissions and all tables are correct. The error seems consistent with other cases we’ve seen that turned out to be connected to caching.

    If you have any database caches or other caching on your server, I would try clearing those. PHP opcache errors are much less common these days, but that might also be a possibility as I see that is present in your diagnostic. You should just be able to restart your server, or PHP on your server. If you can’t do this from your own control panel, reaching out to your hosting provider to do this might be necessary.

    With Litespeed, noabort code usually needs to be added to stop communication stopping abruptly – usually during scans. You may have already taken this step but thought I’d mention it: https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/system-requirements/litespeed/

    Let us know how you get on!
    Peter.

    Thank you for your reply Peter. Unfortunately, communicating with the people who host the website is a challenge, which left me with no choice but to completely rebuild everything including optimizing the database plus install a fresh copy of Wordfence. But I really appreciate your reply.

    No worries, I hope the route you had to take was a suitable solution. If you need further assistance in future by all means open up a new topic to bring it to our attention again.

    Peter.
