    Hi JS,
I just installed your plugin and did many tests, but still I don’t understand something:

I have a post with featured image original size 800×800.
In the plugin settings “Open Graph Image Dimensions” I set 600×600 CROP (the box is checked).
As I understood, with this settings, the plugin will take my 800×800 image and CROP it (trim, cut off) at 600×600, using the vertical and horizontal center. So, while sharing on facebook, I should have the featured image size 600x600px. and the image should be without a 200px border.
But I’m getting an image with a different aspect ratio, so it crop the top and the bottom.

If I uncheck the CROP box, nothing change, the image show on fb is still the same.
here the link to the page I’m trying to fetch.

In another one, the homepage, I’m using a default image that has an an aspect ratio 3:2.

With the crop checked it shows the image cropped (so only the center of the image), with the crop unchecked, it shows the entire image.

So I really don’t understand why it doesn’t know why it doesnt show the entire square picture.

Please tell me if you need something. Thank you

We can control the images provided to social websites, how they use / display them is up to each social website. Facebook will display images differently based on your browser, device resolution, and orientation. A square image, as indicated in the help popup for the Facebook / Open Graph image dimensions, provided the greatest compatibility. Facebook itself recommends an image size of 1200×630.
