Scaling and not cropping an image
-
Hi JS,
I just installed your plugin and did many tests, but still I don’t understand something:I have a post with featured image original size 800×800.
In the plugin settings “Open Graph Image Dimensions” I set 600×600 CROP (the box is checked).
As I understood, with this settings, the plugin will take my 800×800 image and CROP it (trim, cut off) at 600×600, using the vertical and horizontal center. So, while sharing on facebook, I should have the featured image size 600x600px. and the image should be without a 200px border.
But I’m getting an image with a different aspect ratio, so it crop the top and the bottom. If I uncheck the CROP box, nothing change, the image show on fb is still the same.
here the link to the page I’m trying to fetch.
https://clicksforcakes.com/sweet-spot-the-people-who-ateIn another one, the homepage, I’m using a default image that has an an aspect ratio 3:2.
With the crop checked it shows the image cropped (so only the center of the image), with the crop unchecked, it shows the entire image.
So I really don’t understand why it doesn’t know why it doesnt show the entire square picture.
Please tell me if you need something. Thank you
