I noticed that the images that are embedded in the Easy Recipe container uses the first image in the post (probably featured image first if it exists?)

My issue here is that my client uploads images using the “large” image size in the content body, and I noticed that this same image is also used in the Easy Recipe container, but is scaled down to size.

Is there a way to edit the template, and change the size of the image here?

There’s a couple of ways you might address this. It depends on which EasyRecipe template you’re using and exactly what you want to achieve. EasyRecipe Plus allows you to easily pick a different image for the recipe (you can do the same thing with EasyRecipe Free but it’s more work).

The original thinking for using the same image but scaled, is that the image will have already been downloaded and will be in the browser cache. In most cases (at least with the tests we did) it’s quicker to simply scale the recipe image from the larger page (cached) image than it is to download an extra “correctly” sized smaller image.

Leave us a ticket at https://support.easyrecipeplugin.com/submit-a-support-ticket/ if you want to discuss the options further.
