scale an image with constrain proportion

    every time I scale an image inserted in a post, it deforms. Is there something that will constrain proportions while it scales ? Like holding shift in Photosop ?
    Sorry if it’s a dumb question.
    P.S.
    Can I make the window where I write posts bigger ?

    This is helpful when let’s say you want 3 images posted in a row and when you click them it shows the full size
