This message has shown up in my dashboard: Your store does not appear to be using a secure connection. We highly recommend serving your entire website over an HTTPS connection to help keep customer data secure. Learn more here.

But my site is encrypted. It appeared after the most recent update.

  • Possibly because an image is being loaded from a http / non-SSL source? Search the source code for the violating image.

Thanks for the advice but it looks like everything is https

    Hello @amanda789 ,

    please share your site URL.

    Thanks,

    Hey Amanda,

With 82 million+ downloads, WooCommerce supports more than 1/4 of total online stores globally. This open-source ecommerce plugin for WordPress has grown into one of the most popular ecommerce development solutions on the market today. Most of us are facing similar issues since the 3.4.2 update. This message is displayed when WordPress is unable to verify the SSL security for your website. A WooCommerce site that was working fine, may show this https error if there were any updates to the OpenSSL binary in the server. If so, you must configure the latest OpenSSL and recompile PHP in the server. To know more about about WooCommerce updates, read this blog published by Virtina.

    Hi there @amanda789,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this thread as resolved. Hopefully the last post above helped you sort things out.

There are many reasons that message might be displayed, but it’s possible it just popped up because a flag in the database had not been set. If you truly have SSL configured correctly, you should just be able to dismiss the notice and see if it does not come back. You can check your System Status Report under WooCommerce > Status as well, to make sure it shows SSL/Https are being detected.

If you are still having issues, then I would recommend reaching out to your hosting company to ask them to double check that the SSL certificate is truly configured correctly for the site.

If you have any further questions, please start a new thread.

    Have a wonderful day!
