• I’m having problems accessing our wp-admin page so I’ve decided to try something new. If I download the sites wp_contents folder (through ftp), will that save our posts and images so that I can upload them to a new site? If not, is there any other way of saving our posts, images and pages without having access to wp-admin?

No. The post content is in the database, not in wp-content.

If you want a backup, use one of the many backup plugins.

Thanks Steven. Unfortunately we’re not able to use any plugins as we can’t access our wp-admin page. When you try to go to it, it redirects to a page that’s not there. So we’re considering rebuilding the site and importing the old sites contents. Any ideas how we can do this?

Do you have access to your hosting control panel? If so, use phpmyadmin to export your database and FTP to grab the files.

Thanks. I’ll give that a try. Our big concern is finding a way to save / export our articles and images.
