    This never happened before the revamp of the quizzes, but now when I complete a quiz, check all the answers and submit, it does not save correctly.
    I do the test, and there are always answers incorrect, even though I compare the answers and the questions in 2 different browsers side-by-side.

    This is the 3rd time I have done this test and of the 10 questions, 3 are wrong.

    Very annoying.

  • @theartfuldodger,

    Are you using advanced quizzes and having this issue with reorder items questions?

    I’ve seen a few reports of the reorder items questions not being graded correctly and I’ve isolated this to issues on PHP 5.5.

    If this is your issue please upgrade to a supported PHP version: https://lifterlms.com/docs/minimum-system-requirements-lifterlms/

    If that’s not the issue could you provide me with some screenshots of your questions on the admin panel and a copy of your System Report so I can see if I can figure out what’s happening here?

    Thanks,

    How do I send you the screenshots and the status report?

    You can post links to screenshots. Many people use https://imgur.com/ or https://snag.gy/ for that. Post your screenshot there and post the link to that image.

    For text output paste it into pastebin.com and share the link for that paster here.

    Do I just post the links in this box?

    Btw,

    The image show:

    1. Writing the question and options and saving either manually or automatically. I usually wait until the manual option is available, then save.
    2. The test question answer indicating the incorrect option. As this is a multiple answer question, there should be selected answers, not 1.
    3. Going back into the quiz question, a new option has been highlighted.

    This happens on a regular basis, which means I have had to redo the quizzes several times in some cases.

    @theartfuldodger,

    Are you thinking that selecting multiple options will mean that ANY of those will be considered correct?

    If that’s what you’re expecting that explains the issue as the multi-choice option means that ALL of the selected (green highlighted) options must be selected to get the answer correct.

    Are you also saying that choices are being highlighted as correct even when you haven’t clicked them?

    I can’t figure out a way to recreate that but I’m not sure if that’s what you’re saying.

    (@theartfuldodger)

    Yes, I understand the multiple options, the number of the correct choices has to be selected. (If I want 2 correct answers I have to select 2 choices).

    What I am saying from my example is:

    I chose 2 correct options (indicated in the 1st screenshot). I saved the question.
    Then I ran the quiz (only the 1 question in the quiz, to test). The answer appeared as incorrect (2nd screen shot).
    Upon re accessing the question, an extra item has been checked (not by me).

    I have created several quizzes on this site and this issue keeps occurring.

    I can send you a video to confirm.

    @theartfuldodger,

    I’m not quite sure how to explain this behavior… I haven’t had any other users report issues like this and I can’t imagine why a new choice would just randomly be selected unless it was actually clicked.

    It could conceivably be a plugin conflict but I somehow doubt that…

    A video would be helpful if you could take the time to record your exact recreation steps.

    Thanks,

    As can be seen in the video the choices are auto saving and I also manually save the choice.
    the other point I mentioned in another post i that i want to keep the quiz centralized on the screen but it scrolls down. I used to use CSS on the quiz page to correct this but that option has been removed.

    I can’t see your video, it’s unavailable…

    I’m really not sure what you’re seeing or saying here… Can you try to screenshot this for me?

    We also never had an option to add custom CSS to a quiz but if you want to add custom CSS to your site you can do that via the customizer: https://lifterlms.com/docs/add-custom-css-using-wordpress-customizer/

    Finally, can you upgrade to 3.16.16? This may fix the initial quiz saving issue…

    @mayankbatra22,

    Are you using the latest version of LifterLMS (3.16.16) — I found the issue originally reported in this post and I believe it’s resolved now.

    If you did have questions that were marked incorrect as a result of the bug you’d need to update your quizzes one last time to fix it moving forward.
