Saving Post Options

  • I am having an issue with saving Post Options like Excerpts, SEO data, Creative Commons options, Thesis Theme options, etc. Some of my Contributors, Authors and Editors are reporting that when they set these options and Save, the settings disappear. As the Administrator I am able to set these options for them and Save them successfully – most of the time. However even I (as Administrator) have experienced these problems. Is anyone else experiencing these issues? Does anyone know of a resolution for the problem?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – disabling Google Gears if you have that running/installed within Firefox?
