    Hi Tobias

I’ve tried to find open threads on this but only found very old ones that have been resolved.

I’m running WP 4.5.3, TablePres 1.7, TablePress Responsive Tables 1.3.

When saving an edit on a table I’m getting error:

“Saving failed: AJAX call successful, internal saving process failed. Try again while holding down the “Shift” key.”

Trying with the Shift key doesn’t work.

I’ve disabled all other plugins but no luck.

Tried another thread suggestion of increasing WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’ to 256M but no luck.

Is there any way of sending you access to take a quick look?

    cheers

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

You could be affected by an issue that I saw more and more in the last weeks. Apparently, some servers have problems when the Table Description field is completely empty.
Could you therefore please try again after enterting some text (even something short like “(no description)” should work) into the Table Description field?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    I have same error.
I have added new table through import CSV file. Description was filled.
When saving an edit on a table I’m getting error:
“Saving failed: AJAX call successful, internal saving process failed. Try again while holding down the “Shift” key.”

    Best regards,

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please get in touch via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

It was necessary to disable the rules # 218500 Mod_Security module in hosting panel.

    Thank Tobias for your assistance!

    Hello,

I have the same problem, but adding a description does not solve the problem. Any idea?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Best wishes,

    Hi Marco,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Some servers have certain security measures in place that unfortunately cause a false alarm here. Basically, the server, its firewall software, or e.g. a security extension like mod_security for the Apache webserver do not like something in the request, probably the size or some special content.
To fix this, you will have to contact your webhost company and ask them to change the configuration of the software that blocked the request. They should have more information about this in their log files.

    Regards,
    Tobias
