At least half the time, when I save a table’s settings, the settings fail to save and I end up on a blank screen with only the date. There is no feedback to determine what is happening.

    WP 6.1.1, PHP8.0.28, PicoStrap 5 theme (Bootstrap 5)

    Hello.
We get error 404 ( page does not exist) error when we try to follow your link to the front-end of this table.

But looking at your report, It seems that this is a conflict with the Bootstrap version of that Theme.
Unfortunately, our plugin is currently having issues if you use any Bootstrap higher than version 3.
Can you please change the Theme to any default WP Theme, and let us know if with another Theme the issue is not present, just to confirm this?

Our developers plan to upgrade our Bootstrap version, but we can’t promise an exact ETA on it.

If the Bootstrap version causes the issue, would it be possible if you can try to open the browser developer console,
and see if you can catch an error message there?
If so, can you make a screenshot, send it to us,
and also send us the error text here?
If it turns out that the Bootstrap version is the culprit, we can try to devise a workaround solution for you, but first we would need to see an error in the browser’s developer console.
    Thank you.

Yeah. I killed that page. New link is here. I have determined that it is likely a plugin conflict, as I turned all others off and the issue is gone. I haven’t turned them all back on yet to check which one is the issue because this is just a test/proof of concept experiment so far.

HOWEVER, is the paid version having trouble with Bootstrap 5?

Possibly related: I have NOT been able to see the expandable blocks on mobile with any settings changes I’ve made. That will definitely be a major road block.

    Hello.
Thank you for the updated link.
We can see the table now in desktop mode, and we see what you mean by the issue regarding the Responsive mode not correctly loading the “expander” + icon on mobile screens.
Yes, that might be related to the first issue.

And unfortunately, yes, we have the Bootstrap conflict issue with both Lite and premium versions of the plugin, they are both optimized up to Bootstrap version 3 at the moment.
We can certainly try to help you as much as we can at this point,
but to conduct a further investigation,
can you please open a ticket on our?main Support platform here,?and one of our Agents will respond as quickly as possible?
Just refer to our correspondence here, and they will know what the case is.

If you don’t have an active licence,?you can open a ticket in the “Pre-Purchase” section,?

or simply click on this link; that way, it will not ask you for the Premium code.

The plugin conflict is with Wordfence BTW. So that part is resolved…in that we know what the conflict is. It is not resolved in that the live site will continue to use Wordfence and WPDataTables and Wordfence are not playing nice. I’d have to turn off WF every time a table needed to be edited.

This was the error in the console with the blank page on saving with Wordfence turned on: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()

Now I will test whether the mobile responsive features actually work for this plugin by changing to a non-bootstrap theme.

I really need to know if this thing will work if I’m going to buy a license moving forward.

    Hello.
    Thank you for that update,
we can see from your report now that the Worldfence is blocking our plugin from properly working on your site.
Generally speaking, the 403 Forbidden Error happens when the web page (or another resource) you’re trying to open in your web browser is a resource you’re not allowed to access.?
It’s called a 403 error because that’s the HTTP status code that the webserver uses to describe that kind of error.

You can usually get this error for one of two reasons.
The first is that the owners of the webserver have properly set up access permissions and that you’re really not allowed access to the resource.
The second reason is that the owners of the webserver have improperly set up permissions and you’re getting denied access when you really shouldn’t be.

You can first contact your hosting provider because you have an issue with your permissions, see if they could help.

Once you do that, please let us know if everything is back in order.
If the hosting support redirects you to the WorldFence plugin support,
you can ask them to check what is blocking our plugin’s tables and have them lift the block,
    then it should be resolved.
Let us know how it goes. Thank you.
