When the constant POST_SNIPPETS_DISABLE_PHP is set, the related markup is not output on the admin snippet view. The click event on the Save button is written in such a way that the absence of this element causes the script to break. As a result, saving a snippet is broken.

Creating a new snippet may or may not be affected as well.

    Thank you!

The issue I found was that the <input> with id=”php-[KEY]” was not created but the ajax request tries to get the value of that element for the post data.

There are multiple statements that query for an element and then attempt to use the object without checking whether one was found. This could be improved for overall stability.
