saves slideshow just gone after failed WP update to 4.4

  • Hi,

    I just tried to update WP 3.4.1 to 4.4. This did not work out. Then tried it manually, it did not work out.
    So I uploaded an old backup 6 days old (when all was running smoothly) from my provider. Everything is fine, BUT… the SLIDESHOW PLUGIN simply won’t find any saved slideshows.
    Then I tried to start a new slideshow. But my entire Media Library now is empty! However, the pics on the site are all OK.

    So here are my questions: HELP… what can I do to get it back?
    If I can search in my backup from the provider: is there a file where all the information is stored so that I just need to copy that file onto the server?
