Saved my site. Fantastic.

I have a site that I created to sell an ebook of mine that I feel strongly about but I don’t have a lot of time to blog or maintain it [ link redacted, please do not post links in reviews ]. I knew I was leaving for a while and would be busy and/or away from a computer on a consistent basis. I used this plugin.

At first I just installed it as a precaution. I changed the site’s login page from wp-login.php to a page I specified. I think this move alone saved my site from being hacked. About a month after I made the change I began to get emails from my site, automatically generated, saying this this or that IP had been blocked due to unauthorized access attempts. There were five attempts in all, two from France and three from England.

I am using the free plugin. I don’t know what would have happened to my site if I hadn’t installed this plugin, but I know what happened after I did. Highly recommended.
One note: Make sure you write down what your new login page is!!! Very important.

I am writing this review because I have just logged in after an absence of several months and there was a reminder there that said something to the effect that ‘You’ve been using this plugin for over 30 days, please rate it or upgrade.’

It was simple to install and configure. If you know enough to install a plugin in the first place you should be fine with this.
