Saved me 100’s of hours and much heartbreak

I imported nearly 3,000 products (with loads of custom attributes), over 35K customers and 150K orders. In all it was around a day’s messing around to iron out a few wrinkles and it took the server about 24 hours to finish importing the orders. But I was able to carry on working on the site design whilst this was going on.

So much more detail was imported than I expected, in fact it transferred everything hat I needed and more.

You need to ensure that your server timeouts are nice and long, but I required no intervention once the process had started. I did copy the Magento database to a local machine (no need to set up Magento, just copy the database) and imported into a local WordPress database.
