Save theme after hacking parent theme!

    Hi! I have been hacking the parent theme of my wordpress site for a while and would like to update wordpress without loosing my info. If I use the One-Click Child Theme to create a child theme of Twenty 10, will this save all my work and keep my website the same?

    Please let me know as I do not want the style of my blog to change and I don’t want to loose all my work when I update.
