    Hi,

I think your plugin is exceptional, thanks for your good work!

However, I don’t understand why one can’t save the pdf settings (hidden in the plugin’s options). I’ve seen an issue was open for 5 months on Github
    https://github.com/mnelson4/printmyblog/issues/40

In my view, this is a much needed feature.

    Thanks again!

    Thanks @psykonevro!
I’ve stalled on adding saving settings for a while, it’s true. Getting feedback about how to add it will help.

Are you adding print buttons to your posts, or just printing posts yourself? And what settings are you wanting to change from the default?

    Hi @mnelson4 !

I’m just printing posts myself, but I don’t exclude in a near future to use the print buttons !

I usually remove from “Header Content to Print” various options (tagline, filter, site url, credit) from Post Content to Print (Categories and Tags), I increase the size of the images (large) and change the format to PDF.

Hope it can help! But I think a original and customized settings would be great.

    Cheers,

Kk, thanks for sharing how you’d use it, that gives me some ideas.
I think we’d probably want to allow users to change the default settings, and allow different settings per print button.
I’m sorry I still don’t commit to doing this right away, as it will take a sizable change to how settings are saved and how they’re displayed. But I’ll update this thread and the GitHub ticket when I have something working.

My first website works now with the print button as I expected.
Now I installed yours plugin Print My Blog on an other website, but it do not accept to activate the option for “Show visitors buttons to print your posts?”
If I activated by “Setting” the print option and saved it, looks like ok. If click on “Settings again, the print option is blank.
I changed the the template and deactivated some plugins, without success.
    Here the website:

Have you an idea? Thank you.

Hi @honkomp, I’m glad you reported that issue, although it’s different than what this thread was origianlly about (you’re having a problem saving the frontend print button settings, jcv was wanting to save the “print now” settings.)
I created an issue on GitHub: https://github.com/mnelson4/printmyblog/issues/71 if you’d like to continue discussing there; or you can just create a new topic in this forum for your issue.
We’ll talk more and get this sorted out!
