save once, posts multiple times

  • for some reason when i write a post and only hit ‘publish’ once, it actually posts it onto my blog more than one time. sometimes two to five times… and i don’t know how to make it stop!!
    does it have anything to do with the autosaving?
    does it have to do with hitting ‘save’ before hitting ‘publish’ or both?
    someone please help, this is so annoying!!

  • Is it really creating two posts in your database table wp_posts? Or do you have a plugin like Sideblog? Thank moshu for that last question ??

    i do have a sideblog plugin, but i am not going to be using it for the new theme, so you think if i deactivate the plugin it would stop doing that?

    If it’s not the most current version of the sideblog, I’d bet MichaelH’s computer that disabling it will fix it. ??

    oh, i just checked my database, and it is NOT creating two posts in there, but two show up on the blog

    I’m having the same problem. Did you figure this out?
