• I need to thank you all for the solutions that you managed to deliver with this plugin, mainly for allowing Copy, Paste and Duplicate Layouts with so much ease, but i still miss the option to save a Layout and reuse it in other places, without being through copy and paste.

Would it be possible to create a way to save these layouts and, together with the Copy, Paste and Duplicate buttons, add a button to Save as a Template and another one to Include a Saved Template?

I am sure that this option would be of great help!

    Hello,

Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad you enjoy ACF Extended ??

I already had users asking for it, and while it could be cool to have such UI, it would take a lot of work to make it work properly (taking care of compatibility between flexible content fields, sub fields etc…). It might come in the future, but I have to dedicate my time on others priorities right now, for the good of the plugin.

The feature has been added on the Trello Board: https://trello.com/c/0GwoocJy/303-flexible-content-ui-to-save-loaded-layouts-values-from

Note: You can somewhat achieve a similar UI by creating a specific post type in the back-end only, make the flexible content appear in that post type, then paste your layouts in a new “template”. You can then simply copy that layout and paste it in the targeted post.

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.
