“Save Image Dimensions” How does it work?
It basically stores the image dimensions. It’s not common, but some themes/plugins can’t show the images if there is no dimensions. It also uses to solve overlapping images.
I set 1: 1 in image sizes both custom and plugin.

Correct. ~1 image/second. I don’t recommend that, but sometimes it’s the only way to make a specific plugin or theme to work with external images.

The only solution for that is FIFU Settings > Featured image > Same Height, but that’s not available in this free version.
