• Hello, I have recently installed a Woo WordPress theme and I was using the widgets to save icons, but for some reason the Save Icon button has dissapeared and I have no idea to get it back. Help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks

  • I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendors.

That’s interesting as they just palmed me off to you guys… The Widgets setting is actually in the Word Press part of the dashboard, not the installed version.

Can you be 100% sure before I go back to them?

    Thanks

OK – what happens if you switch to Twenty Eleven?

The Save icon is still not there unfortunately. They asked a similar question as well.

    Thanks Esmi

Ok – next step. Leaving Twenty Eleven active, try deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

Hey, so I deactivated all plugins but there was no change anywhere, however when I tried to re-install all plugins, one plugin gave me a fatal error message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class InstagramWidget in /var/www/wp-content/plugins/instagramWidget.php on line 167

I haven’t done anything from here, however, the save button icon has not returned.

If it helps I can send you a private message so you can have a look. I m new to these message boards and I m not sure how this works.
    Thanks

Sorry – we do not have private messaging here. These are community forums. All the problem-solving takes place here so that others can benefit from it later on.

FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) & delete the plugins/instagramWidget.php file.

OK – Cool Ill do that, I ll get back to you shortly. I appreciate your help here!

I firstly deactivated all the plugins one by one and tested to see of it worked.

    It didnt.

I then logged onto the backend and removed the plugins by using:

    rm -r (widgetname)

Against all of them – so there’s no plugins on there now, but, alas, no save button still.

    Hope you have a fix.

    Thanks

Hmm… can you try resetting the plugins folder by PhpMyAdmin?

Still no change at all. This is really weird as I have been trying to get a lot of people to look at it to but it is just not coming back to how it should.

    Site url?

    (@morganclark)

That site is still using a commercial theme – not Twenty Eleven

Yes, I know because we had to revert to do some work and show clients where we are at even though we have no save button.

Have you seen something like this before, and if not do you think it is wise that we clear and start again because it seems like a very strange bug.

    Thanks Esmi
