Save Filters after Applying?

So I noticed this is a issue for theme developers with lots of content. The apply part works but it only apply to that one time and will not hold. So I was wondering is there any way to save the applied filters so they last more then that time your on the page. For me I find it really annoying because I like to have different content to show off themes I am working on and it can be difficult to locate at times. So what I need to know if there is a hack or fix that saves that Filter for pages you applied to.
