Save button won't save

In fact, in checking a bit further the entire plugin does not work since I updated. I can’t edit or create new buttons – it appears just stuck as is.

Can you add the MaxButtons -> System Info in here? It will help us troubleshoot the issue.

The system info is published above.
This plugin is still not working. However, that’s only partially true because it does display correctly on some pages but not others. The part that appears totally broken is the main page of the plugin where I cannot create any new buttons nor change any existing buttons.

Deactivating and then re-activating the plugin usually resolves this issue, so if that’s not working then I’m not sure why.

You also said that the buttons display correctly on some buttons but not on others. Can you post URLs to a page that does work and one that doesn’t?

These two pages also have buttons but the font color is supposed to be white and shows up different as you can see. I believe its taking the color info from the theme – but can’t be sure.

And a bigger concern is that when I go to the Button edit page, I cannot change & save any of the existing buttons nor can I generate a new one. Basically it doesn’t work.
The deactivate & reactivate has made no difference. This all started after I upgraded. If you want to have a look in the back end that’s fine.

For those two pages where the font color isn’t correct, enable the “Use !important” option in the advanced settings; that should fix it.

As for not being able to save button changes or create new buttons, I’d have to take a look at your admin if that’s OK. Send credentials to support AT maxfoundry DOT com.

I was also having an issue with the buttons saving. Deactivating the plugin and reactivating resolved the issue.

gerrytibo – Sorry for the delay. I was able to login to your site to have a look around, but I don’t know what the issue is. The reason why deactivating/re-activating usually works is because sometimes a new version requires a change to the buttons table in the database, and the activation process ensures the database schema change is made.

I’m certain that the reason you can’t save changes to your buttons is because the code is expecting a particular schema for the buttons table, but the table changes didn’t get made. Therefore, an error is occurring and the update can’t take place.

It would help if we could see the error, but that would require your host to enable debugging and then send us the log file. It’s also possible that your host has schema changes locked down, so it might be worth a call to them to ask.

Sorry I don’t have a resolution for you at the moment.

I cannot save also. I tried making a copy and making the necessary changes and when I save it reverts back to the copied button info. I tried the add and it will not save. It just reverts back the original form. I have the latest updates for WordPress and MaxButtons. This problem occurred even before I updated Maxbuttons. I am sure it has to do with the latest update with WordPress. Thank you for your help. Gerry
