    Hi.
I’m using W3TC and I’m trying to use it to purge Varnish, but when the option is activated and I try to save a post, it takes a lot of time completing the task. A lot, like 40-60 seconds.
    When disabled, everything runs fine.

    Any ideas?

    Hello @tavara

I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
Just to confirm, the only issue is when saving a new post it can take up to 60s?
Have you tried purging and restarting varnish? Are you experiencing a timeout or any error message?
Can you also make sure that the varnish server is configured properly?
Please check this article for more details.
    Thank you!

The only issue is the save action. Restarted everything. It just takes a lot of time. I’m going to do more tests and try to catch an error in the logs.

I see it goes slowly purging the URLS… is it waiting for a response from varnish?

    Hello @tavara

Yes possibly. Can you please purge just varnish cache, in the top admin bar hover over the Performance>Purge Modules and click on the Reverse proxy.
Please let us know how long does it take to purge.
    Thank you!

I think I found the issue. My VCL was making a GET request after PURGE. Save post action reduced from 60 seconds to 15.

When proxy cache is disabled, save post takes around 8 seconds.

Purging from Performance>Purge Modules->Reverse proxy takes a couple of seconds.
