Satellite Embed Wizard Fails

    I cannot get the Embed Wizard to work properly with my theme (Tempera). Even if I use the TwentyFourteen theme it fails with the same error message:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_setting() in /home/itapps/itapps/cmfc/wp-content/themes/twentyfourteen/inc/featured-content.php on line 389

    I’ve deactivated every plugin except Slideshow Satellite to no avail.

    I know I can disable the Embed Wizard in Advanced Settings, but this becomes a major disadvantage to my client who is not technically savvy enough to deal with manually-entered shortcodes.

    The register_setting() function is definitely present in /wp-admin/includes/plugin.php. The Satellite plugin version is 2.3.2

    Can you offer any reason why this error is occurring, particularly with no other plugins activated and using a standard WP theme?
