    Hello,

I called PayPal to find out if I need to do Sandbox testing if I’m a merchant.

The woman said no, that the sandbox is only to see what the checkout page will look like to the customer. She said if I click on the PayPal button and it brings me to the PayPal login box with the order total in it, I am set up correctly.

She said I just need to be sure I have my correct PayPal email address/Username set up in WooCommerce in order to receive the payments.

I don’t see where to set that up in WooCommerce. Could she have meant the live API Username?

Do you feel she has given me correct information on all of this?

    Thank you,
    Gail

Sounds like she was referring to the basic PayPal Standard that comes with WooCommerce. That’s where you would just enter the account email address.

For Express Checkout you are correct that you would need to enter the API username, password, and signature. Once you’ve entered those credentials you could click on a PayPal button and as long as it redirects you to the PayPal checkout page then you know you’re good to go.

That’s good news – thank you! More questions on the way, but I’ll do separate posts.
