Sample text dropdown not updating for custom entries

    Hi there

    Thanks for this lovely plug in, perfect solution for what I need and looks great.

    I have a couple of little issues and wonder if you can help.

    I have tried entering custom text for the “Select a custom text” dropdown but it won’t accept my changes, I’ve still got the default (done all the cache clearing including Cloudflare etc and it also occurs for a non-logged in visitor).

    Is there anything I can do to override this? Main issue is that I need to include numbers and “&”.

    the other thing that doesn’t want to update is the colour of the slider line. Everything else doing beautifully.

    V grateful for any help.

    Hey,

    thanks for reporting these issues. Can you clarify for me a couple of things:

    * Do you get any php errors when trying to save the settings, do you have a “Notifications” tab in the Fontsampler menu?
    * Do you change the default settings or the settings of one specific fontsampler?
    * What version of WordPress, Fontsampler and, if possible to find out, PHP are you using?

    Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

    It’s WP 4.9.4

    I can’t see a notifications tab or any errors.

    PHP version is 5.6.33

    am changing settings of one particular fontsampler.

    Fontsampler version is 0.3.7

    Hey,

    I’ve tested this myself and confirm that this is a bug in the 0.3.7 version of Fontsampler. I’ll add a fix for this to the next release.

    The overwritten dropdown options for the sample text seem to get stored in the individual settings, but the defaults get loaded nonetheless. Maybe it would be a work around for you to add the required signs to the sample text dropdown default settings shared by all Fontsamplers, and then in the individual Fontsampler you can still use custom settings everywhere, only for the sample texts select to use the defaults?

    I’ve implemented a fix for this to the upcoming version. Until it is released, please work around it by setting your default settings’ sample texts. I will post here once the version with the fix is published.

    The fix for this issue is published in 0.4.0. Let me know should you still encounter this issue after updating.
