• Hi, we are using the LiveChat with our WordPress site, which informs us of when new visitors appear on our website. We had a visitor come to our website 219 times in one day. We find this odd and are wondering if we should be concerned about potential malicious intent. Are there any known security risks associated with a single visitor repeatedly visiting like that? If so, how can we protect ourselves?

Check the IP address. Is it related to a search-bot?

I am not sure where you are located and where the visitor is located, but tracking someone’s browsing patterns like that does not seem to be compatible with privacy-by-design.

It is possible to throttle activity from users (or to block it entirely) if they make too many requests within a short period of time (if they are bots that are scraping, for example).
219 requests are not that much, in the bigger scheme of things. It should not strain your resources.

You should always take the usual security precautions: Use strong passwords, don’t use code without vetting it first, etc, etc. I would recommend spending your resources on that, rather than on tracking users.
