    Hello,

    Thank you for your time.

    Whenever the user sign up using plugin, they get email. If the same user sign up again, it should show message ‘ you are alreay subscribed” however in my case, it treat them as new users as send the welcome mail again and again.

    Please help me fix the issue.

    Hi there,

    If an existing user signs up again, it will show the “Thank you for signing up!” message to them while updating the user details in MailChimp. But the user should not receive the welcome email from MailChimp more than once since it is sent only when an user is added for the first time.

    I have the same problem.
    Why does it show the message “Thanks for signing up” again? Because in the settings there is a label saying error: already subscribed. That doesn’t make sense..

    Hi.

    This is a known bug and we will be fixing in the next major update. However, if an already subscribed user signs up again, the entry will not be duplicated in your MailChimp list.

    That’s not true. If a person enters the same mail address, but another city for example, this information will be updated in Mailchimp.

    Yes, that is correct. But, updating the user information is not same as duplicate entry. I have mentioned this in a reply just above yours.
