same slug, different language?

hello there!

i am converting a joomla website to wordpress but i dont want to miss some SEO, so i want almost all website to be the same…

So i am trying to create a page in english language (site.com/en/page/)
And when i am trying to make the same slug in other language px Italian. To adds a “-2” to end (site.com/it/page-2/) <– i want to be (site.com/it/page)

any solution or trick?

ps: Don’t tell me the redirect solution i don’t like it! ??
