• Hello,

I added 3 images that are basically the same size to the bottom of a test store (TEST STORE LINK)

The last one is appearing taller than the rest, despite the fact that they all have the same height. Is the logo widget (in the Front Page Sidebar) scaling them based on width and ignoring height?

  • Hi @rigwald,

I took a look at your site and while inspecting all those three images don’t have the same height. First two images have 353 X 288px and 348 X 288px respectively. On the contrary, the last one has 278 X 250px, and the reason why the image height isn’t same is the way they proportion down as per their height and width.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Milan.

    Hi @rubick322,

Thanks for the reply. All the original images are x 288px. When the last image showed as taller, I used the edit image feature to make the height visibly shorter than the rest, to test if it made a difference, which it didn’t. The image continued to show taller, despite setting the height to 250px, while the rest remained at 288.

Is the widget (or even the theme) displaying images proportionally based on width, since it was the widths that were slightly different on all 3 images?

Also, Is there a location for recommendations of image sizes for each of the widgets/products/etc… for this particular theme, so that images can be created/scaled appropriately prior to uploading to the media gallery?

    Thanks!

    Hi @rigwald,

Yes, I believe the images are proportion based on width. There isn’t exact image recommendation, but you can take a look at our demo site images as a reference.
