  • I’m seeing something similar. I’ve added a slider block to a test page and it works using Spectra 2.10.3, but when I add the same block to my home page, it doesn’t work.

However, if I downgrade Spectra to version 2.8.0, it works on the home page as expected.

dude you are life saver @ericfri. Actually i was on 2.0.13 and upgraded to 2.10.3 and then downgraded to 2.8. Homepage is rendering fine now! Even though it’s still a little bit off but definitely much better.

    Thanks again!

I think I figured out the issue. I was adding the Spectra blocks in my template, as I’m use FSE. Once I moved the blocks over to the page and out of the template, the blocks once again worked with 2.10.3.

Hi @ericfri how to “move blocks over to the page”? So per your suggestion, I set the page which is rendering fine to be “homepage” (via Settings -> Reading -> Use static page as homepage). but it’s still off.

ok I solved it by writing some nginx rewrite rule to make the homepage render a static page without changing url. Not optimal and might have some drawbacks but that’s all i can do now.

After I set a static page, I copied/pasted the blocks from the “Frontpage” template to the new static page I created. Once the blocks were moved out of the template and into the actual page, things worked just fine. Originally, my entire home page was created in the Frontpage template and I didn’t have a page at all, that’s when things didn’t work.
