Same post shows in News and Events

    Create 2 separate categories are News and Events, then add the 1st post under individual category.

    Hello,

    For the news and events section,
    First of all create two different categories one for news and one for events section.

    Then create posts you would want to show on these two different sections and assign them to the categories you created accordingly.

    Now go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Theme Options -> Home Page Options
    and assign the categories you created to these to sections.
