Same plugin functionality without featured product star

Hi, would it be possible to reproduce the same functionality of this plugin but without the need to mark the products with the featured star via Woocommerce?

In other words, it would be interesting if we could mark some products so that they appear at the beginning of the list in the category, but not from the functionality of the star that Woocommerce offers in the list of products. For example another option would be by marking it with a new field and not by clicking into the star.

It would be important to know if this possibility exists because this plugin may conflict with other parts of the website where featured products are displayed. If, for example, we have a page where we indicate via shortcode that we want to show the featured products of our website, maybe we don’t want to show the featured products that we have configured through your plugin

Example

• Page 1: We want 9 featured products
• Category Page: We want to see 3 products from that category as featured but if we mark them as featured they will also appear on Page 1. That’s not what we’re looking for
