I like combining galleries to big master galleries.
This is a very nice feature which is defined by the category function and the menu-mode set to “category”

However, if the same image is assigned to more than one of the sub-galleries, it will be shown up multiple times in the display of the parent-gallery.

This can look pretty odd, and the more galleries I combine or re-combine at a later time, it comes nearly impossible to track and avoid all this doubles…

Any chance to improve the algorithm, not to load the same image twice in the same gallery?
Would be very much appreciated ??

    Kind regards
    Harald

In gallery menu settings you can try to use option “show parent”. When you disable this option it’s not gonna show images of the main and child galleries few times.

Please try and let me know if it’s gonna help.

Unfortunatelly, this does not help in my case:

My problem is, that various child galleries may contain the same image.
(My parent galleries are even empty)

Then, as long as no single category is selected (view-all) in the parent gallery, these images appear multiple times.
I really like the view-all parent gallery, which shows all images of all child categories. I just want to eliminate the duplicates.

Looks like current gallery page don’t have duplicated images. If you still try to modify gallery settings some way please let me know.
