Same Image File Names (Different Cases)

  • Hello WordPressers,

    I am having an issue with a clients site.

    If they are to upload images with the same filename but different cases, an alternate name is not given.

    EG:
    abc.jpg
    ABC.jpg

    These are both allowed to be uploaded instead of creating ABC1.jpg. This is then causing issues with the linking in the system.

    I’m thinking this may be an issue I have to follow up with the host, but not sure how “1” is added to the filename.

    Any thoughts or direction would be handy.
