• Hi,
Is there a way to force users to use username instead of email to login, for those who have more than 1 user role attached with the same email address but for those who has only one user role can login with both email and username?

    Hi @mflevie,

You can add a username to your login form in Ultimate member -> Forms -> your login form so your users will use username for login.
It’s not possible to determine a user role for not logged in users.

    Regards.

    Hi @ultimatemembersupport,

Thank you for your reply, So, if that the case, Is there a way to handle this during the authentication section?
For an example is my system has three different users roles
    1. owner
    2. admin
    3. measurer
    Scenario 1
A user can be can be owner, admin, and measurer with the same email and he/she try to login to the system using email, when that happens how can I display a custom error message saying “You have more than one user role. Please use the username to login”? how can I do this authentication?

    Hi @mflevie,

Can you please clarify why do you have users with all user roles and what is the purpose of displaying the error message “You have more than one user role”? Ultimate member and WordPress do not have this error message. It is only possible to assign one user role upon registration using Ultimate member registration form.

    Regards.
