Same Email address for Multiple Users

Greetings.

So we have one site that we use for a Condo Association, each User Account receives HOA updates via blog posts all secured by login. User names are their unit number followed by some letters, they are allowed to submit ticket requests through WordPress which ties a maintenance history to the unit#.

Here’s the issue, when a unit changes ownership we use the No Role option to disable the account but we also need to change the email address so we don’t continue to Spam previous owners. We would like to use a [email protected] for all previous owner accounts but as we know it’s not that simple. There used to be a plugin that would accomplish this but it hasn’t worked in years.

Anyone know a solution where we can use the same email address for multiple accounts? Clearly we won’t have any impact on password resets because previous owners aren’t permitted to log back in anyway so using a single email address in this case doesn’t create any security issues.
