Hi, I’m creating a “pop up shop” on my online store. I already have the subdomain. Is there a way customers can make payment through my main domain when checking out? I ideally don’t want to have two payment gateways.

    TIA

    Hi @janinerijnvis

Unfortunately, it is not possible. However, there’s a workaround.

You can create a product on your main domain and your subdomain. However, when you’re setting up the same product on the subdomain, make sure to select “external/affiliate”. Then, link the purchase button back to your main domain. This way, whenever customers click to buy, they’ll be smoothly redirected to your main domain. More info: https://woocommerce.com/document/managing-products/add-product/#adding-an-external-affiliate-product

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Hi Shameem

Thanks for your repsonse. The subdomain will be selling completely different products to what’s on the main domain. Can I still do this external/affiliate link?

    Kind regards

    Janine

    Hi @janinerijnvis,

Yes, you can definitely use external/affiliate links on your subdomain, even if it’s selling completely different products from your main domain. WooCommerce supports linking to external products, which can be products from another site or an affiliate link.

To do this, when you add a new product, simply select ‘External/Affiliate Product’ under ‘Product Data’ dropdown. Then, you can insert your affiliate link or the URL of the product from the other site in the ‘Product URL’ field. You can learn more here.

    I hope this helps!
