Not sure if this is a known bug, I’ve searched but could not find it. We are facing an issue where the same breadcrubs shows on just all other regular pages saying “Events in October 2022” Anyway how to fix this or if this gets fixed?

Hi @devseb, this could be theme related. Could you switch to the default theme? See if the breadcrumbs have the same behavior. Please read the Testing for Conflicts Article before doing anything. We’d recommend conducting these tests on a Staging Server.

Let me know how it goes.

I am having the same issue, using BeTheme. Every page says “Events for October 2022” even non-events pages.

Hi @occreative, that’s not good. For me to help you better, I should be able to see the page. Could you share the direct URL to the page you’re having issues with? I’d like to check and see what we could do here, for me to replicate the issue.

Please do not share any credentials, this is for us to follow the WordPress Forum Guidelines.

Looking forward to helping you with this one.

Hi @abzlevelup, I have hidden the subheader which shows the page name so that my site visitors are not confused. I have just unhidden it to test, and it did update so that now pages read “Events for November 2022” as I expected they would. Here is an example page on the site: https://dcnp.org/about-us/about-dcnp/ but I have again hidden the subheader for now so you can’t even see it. I will see if I can create a test page or something where I can enable the subheader on that page only. I’m not sure if it’s an option. The site’s hosting plan doesn’t have a staging option either, unfortunately.

@abzlevelup I was unable to make a page with the subheader that shows the page title and breadcrumbs without enabling it on the full site, which I don’t want to do while this issue persists. I installed All in One SEO which allowed me to add breadcrumbs to a page via shortcode. Those breadcrumbs appear fine. But for some reason with the BeTheme the subheader page title and breadcrumbs get overridden with “Events for November 2022.”

Hi @occreative, apologies for the delay here, I’m back now. Although we are compatible with various themes, this somehow falls under customization which we do not fully support as it works fine with the default themes but not with BeTheme that you’re using.

That being said, it would be good if you could also reach out to the Theme Developers and see if they have any workaround for this and what you’re trying to accomplish.

    Thank you,
    Abz

I too am also having the same issue using BeTheme. Has there been any resolution? The breadcrumbs and subtitles work as they should when I disable The Events Calendar plugin.

Hi @colbi, sorry to hear about this. I’m curious, could you interchange the settings under Display → Default stylesheet used for events templates and Events template? Head over to Events → Settings → Display and try different settings for the page template.

See if that makes a difference and ensure that any template is not causing the issue.

Also, I’d recommend reaching out to the BeTheme team as well if they have a workaround for this one.

    Hi all and Abz,

same issue here although I have to say I’m not using BeTheme but Kriya theme by designthemes. I should note, that theme was not updated since september 2021 even though that issue popped up recently. I just checked if they released a new update and they do (2 weeks ago). Installed this and still same issue. I rolled back to your last plugin version 5.x, there the breadcrumbs work fine. So I compared more versions and found it this is caused going from update 6.0.1.1 to 6.0.2. This means you changed something in the code with 6.0.2 which causes the breadcrumbs show like this.

    Best regards,
    Seb

Your suggestion to try different settings for the page template did not resolve the issue.

Hi @colbi and @devseb, thanks for confirming and providing more information here. I reached out to our team to see if there are known issues. For now, as a workaround, I’d recommend downgrading to v6.0.1.

Here’s an article to help you with downgrading the plugins: Accessing and Installing Older Plugin Versions.

    Hang in there.

Hi @devseb and @colbi, I appreciate your patience here. Does the issue persist with the latest version? I wasn’t able to replicate the issue anymore. It would be good to test it out, and to be safe, we’d recommend conducting these tests on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

Let me know how it goes.

The latest BeTheme update resolved the issue with the title displaying incorrectly. However, the bread crumbs still show incorrectly. They link to events instead of the current page.

I also confirm on my Kriya theme it is also still showing incorrectly.

Hi @colbi , were you able to get in touch with BeTheme team about the breadcrumbs issue? It seems it was not updated with the fix where it also shows the page title.

@devseb Have you tried reaching out to Kriya team and see if they have any workaround for this issue?
