    Hello,

You can create rates per province. However only one matched rate will be used they will not be summed. So you will have to create for example combined tax rate GST + PST = 12%

Let me know if that will work in your case?

That would work in some scenarios but most stores will have some items that are PST excempt, so at least for some provinces of Canada two tax lines are needed.

    Hello again,

We are already working to add that functionality in the core.

Another couple of questions regarding tax and checkout process.

    1. I need to remoove reference to VAT, even though tax is disabled I still see the VAT total as $0.00.

    2. Is it possible to remove update card / continue shopping and make quantity not editable. Need quantity at 1 always.

Please let me know which files to edit in templates and if possible which lines in those files.

    Help is much appreciated.

I also need to remove the reference to VAT, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, all request will be included in the next update of OrillaCart. It will be available soon.

I LOVE orillacart. I’d really like to be able to be able to show prices selectively though. Or maybe just have an option to display “call for quote” instead of a price.

Is there currently a way to implement this already?

I didn’t mean to hijack this thread! I apologize. I am relatively new to this and was looking for a way to remove my post.

    I am sorry once again.

    Thanks

    Hello,

@wizbam there is option to use the plugin as catalog. That will disable the buy button and the checkout functionality. However there is no way, to remove the price except by editing the templates.

    @orillacart
Thank you, waiting for the update.

First of all, my apologies for getting this thread going again. I am working on a Web site for my boss’ company. We have a cart set up, and our goal is to have clients all across Canada.

When I run a test order, the only province that produces a tax output in the cart is Nova Scotia. I can not get a tax output under any other province.

Under taxes, I have groups for each province, with rates individually assigned per province.

I have the Configuration Page set with the following tax rules:
    Virtual Tax – Enabled
    Shop Country – Canada
    Shop Province – Nova Scotia
    Shop Zip – N/A (Confidential)
Default Tax Group – Nova Scotia
Tax Mode – Based on Billing Address

On each of the product pages, I have ensured the following:
    VAT is set to Yes
VAT Group is set to Default. (I have tried setting VAT Group to a specific group, but it will not change to another province’s group when I go through the order…)

Help! This is really getting to me. I have tried a number of settings. All I am getting is Nova Scotia taxes, but need to be able to have a customer from any province get their appropriate tax rate when they come on our site to buy a product.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,
I will guide you trough the tax setup. Create only one Tax group called Canada. Then you need to click list rates.
Create rate Vat Country: Canada, States: Nova Scotia, Rate: 15, Tax Name: HST. Create another rate Vat Country: Canada, States: British Columbia, Rate: 5, Tax Name: GST, Tax Priority: 1. Create another rate for BC Vat Country: Canada, States: British Columbia, Rate: 7, Tax Name: PST, Tax Priority: 2 and so on.
Make sure that the plugin is updated to the latest version.
Please let us know if the problem is resolved after testing.

    Best Regards
