Yes. Go to the extensions page on the EDD dash and you can pick the UK from the exclude list. “If sales are permitted from your own country, select it from this dropdown.”

I have installed your plug in. It appears to be working but there is no “Checkbox Alert Message”.

I am happy without it but I wondered why I can’t see it.

This is getting confusing. I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

1. I have ‘Enable Blocking of EU Sales’ checked.
2. Exclude Country – UK (where I live)
3. In the checkbox alert message box: By checking this box you confirm you are not currently resident in an EU country (other than the UK).

I was able to add an item to the cart and proceed to the checkout but when I filled my details and clicked ‘purchase’ I received the message: Error: At this time we are unable to complete sales to EU residents.

There was no checkbox for me to confirm that I was not resident in the EU.

I think I know now how it is meant to work but for some reason which I cannot fathom it is not working properly for me.

Let me give you an example:

I am in the UK

1. If I activate the plug in, it works properly and prevents me from making a purchase. ‘Purchase unavailable in your country”. That is fine.
2. But if I exclude the UK it allows me to add items to the cart but does not allow me to checkout. “Error: At this time we are unable to complete sales to EU residents.”

Do you know why that might be happening?

I’ve been trying to reproduce this and I can’t. Even if the country is excluded, it should still show you the fail-safe checkbox.

The code simply is checking “Is the extension active and is the date after Jan 1, 2015?”

Many thanks for all your help regarding this. It is perhaps a conflict with some other plug in. I am going to see if I can find another solution.
