    Hey Guys!

I’m working with a non-profit and they are really excited about using this plugin to manage their volunteer base. Is there any way to push volunteers information over to Sales Force? I didnt see anything, but I thought i’d ask… You never know. ha! If not, do you allow for contributions to the plugin? I’m a developer and If I end up building a bridge to push the data would you be interested in a checkin to a github or something?

Basically I can share what I build if you want. Either way, I think we’re going to try using your plugin and extending it to connect to Sales Force. ??

    Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out @enoziak. Integration with Salesforce isn’t currently built into the plugin. If you’d like to build something to handle that integration that would be great. I’d recommend taking a look at the wivm_after_opp_rsvp hook within the plugin. That hook should allow you to get the RSVP information and pass it to Salesforce without having to modify the plugin directly.

In regards to contributing, we’re always open to pull requests within GitHub. You can find the repository for the project at https://github.com/wiredimpact/wired-impact-volunteer-management. While I’m not sure we would end up including this integration in the core plugin, a pull request would be a great way to review the code and determine the best route to make it available to others.

Do you have any other questions we can help answer before you hop into development?

Awesome! Thanks for the hook direction. I’ll do a pull request if we end up implementing in a larger capacity. Feel free to pull and add if you find value in there.

    Thanks Jonathan!
