Sale Badges for Variable Products?

    Is there a way to only have the SALE badge show up for the product variation that is on sale and not for the others?

    My clients site is using woocommerce and selling products (sneakers) that could have several variables for the same product (colors and sizes). They want to have some of the variations on sale, but not all. So if shoe A is available in black/white, blue/white/ and red/white, and they only want to put the red/white on sale, we want the SALE badge to only show up on the image if the user chooses the red/white. Right now, it just displays the the SALE badge for all variations? Ive tried searching all over and have not found a resolution or plugin. Anyone know?

    By default, a variable product will say sale if it has a variation with a sale price. If you need to change the default behavior, your best bet here would be customization: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

    You could also check with your theme authors, and ask if there is a way to show/hide the sale badge in such a way for variable products.
