• Hello,

I have a website running with Polylang using the setting “the language is set from different domains”. I have set my default language as english with a .eu domain.

I now want to set the default language to another language with another domain. The whole backend uses the .eu domain now. So all the links in the wordpress admin are using the default. eu domain.

Can I safely change the default language to one of the other languages I use and then remove the .eu domain?

    Hi!

You can safely change the default language. It is not necessarily attached to the main domain (the one specified in WordPress options).

Changing the domain will break all your external links (and hardcoded internal links). Dynamic internal links will of course be OK.
