I’ve been dealing with an issue (resolved now) with BackWPup. In working through the issue I had tried going back to a prior version (didn’t solve the issue), then completely uninstalled BackWPup and reinstalled the latest version to date: 4.1.4.

Now that things seem to be working okay, I’m left with several folders of backups, logs and temp folders that have been created over time, but I don’t think are needed now.

Under the Uploads\BackWPup folder are three other folders, each labeled with a six character alpha-numeric title (ex. 38574d). Under each of those are three folders: backups, logs and temp. From the Settings>Information tab I’ve determined which of these three folders is now current.

Can I delete the other two folders? Looking at their contents with an FTP app, I have already downloaded the backups that are contained in them, and I don’t need the logs, so I’m assuming they aren’t needed now.

Another set of files I’d like to delete: also under the Uploads folder are four other folders named (typically) backwpup-ea8009-backups (or logs or temp). The numbers in each of the titles are the same as the other folders above that aren’t current. Again, looking at their contents, I have already downloaded the backups, don’t need the logs, etc.

The final folder is backwpup-restore. I’m assuming that I should NOT delete that.
