• i have a problem with safe mode when i turn it to only me.

At first i find a message
“Your site is currently loading the following Drop-Ins, which are files that are loaded automatically in your wp-contents folder. These files are loaded before our own loader and therefore cannot be disabled unless you delete or rename the following files:
    advanced-cache.php

which is related to wp rocket plugin
i deactivate the plugin and remove the file but still can not enable safe mode only me

but it works for whole site

Hello, what happens when you try to enable it for yourself whilst in WP Admin?

Could you take a screenshot of the settings page after trying to enable safe mode only for you?

We use cookies for ‘only me’ mode, so it might be that you’re blocking cookies, or you have some Cookie misconfiguration error.

this message appears when i activate Wp Rocket cache plugin

The WP Rocket message isn’t an error, it’s just informative, letting you know that WP Safe Mode can’t disable that file automatically. It doesn’t mean Safe Mode won’t work, nor that it’s what is causing a bug.

I use this plugin regularly on multiple sites and haven’t had this issue. Ideally, I’d need to see it on your site so that I can debug it, but unfortunately, I’m not allowed to request login information on this forum as per their rules.

One other thing, do you have any IP addresses saved to the text box further down in the settings?

    Thread Starter emadagha

    (@emadagha)

    i don’t filter any IPs.
if it’s possible can you send me tutorial how to do this and i’ll give you feedback

i really want to work on new theme on only me mode to make some changes before activating it for all users.
    any updates?

Unfortunately there’s not much more I can do here to debug without site access (also, my time-availability is limited due to other commitments).

I’d suggest using the IP filter and enabling safe mode for everyone, then the IP filter will essentially set it just for you.

I did it but my ip changes everytime i save settings!
i add the new one and save settings then it changes again

Your IP changes each time? Not much I can do to help here if that’s the case…

    (@emadagha)

i mean eery time i click save settings these ips changes (in screenshot)

If I understand correctly, you’re saying that the setting doesn’t change?

If you try to type in an IP address, that text like your screenshot ‘Enter one IP Address…’ would disappear. The text you add should remain there when you save and the page reloads.

If that’s not happening, then the problem is that something on your server is preventing us from saving our settings. Maybe a theme/plugin, maybe your firewall. it might also be why ‘only me’ ins’t working.

Can you try going into safe mode for everyone, adding your IP and then saving? Also, make sure you’re switching to the default TwentyTwenty (or similar) theme, not Astra

i tried this also but when i click save setting
the ip i entered still appear in the box but the message below gives me a new ip.
when i put the new ip and click save settings also the message below gives me a new ip no matter how many times i do this.

That means your IP is changing, or maybe you also are running through a WAF (firewall
) or proxy which masks your IP.

I know that sucuri does this, and they have a plugin/instruction which changes the address, I’m sure other services have similar methods.

However, this isn’t something I can help further with, we have no control over your IP

    Thread Starter emadagha

    (@emadagha)

i don’t use Sucuri and i tried after dactivation of security plugins but i still have the same problem.
Any way thanks for your help and i’m sure i’ll use this amazing plugin on other sites.
