Ack…you killed my browser! Heh, it’s crashing Safari 1.2.4 (v125.11) under OS X 10.3.6 with Flash Player 7.0.24. It could something else in the webpage though. I admit, I’ve never been to your site before. It’s working fine in FireFox. If you could remove the flash button for just a sec, I’ll run back and let you know if that’s what is crashing Safari.

    Works perfectly:
    1.2.4 (v125.11)
    Mac OS X 10.3.6
Now… will you please write this up in detail for us?
I feel like i am about to collapse from grief, and must add this sort of audio preview to my blog.
    please?

It works fine with Camino 0.8.1 – MacOSX 10.3.6

Dss, do you have Shockwave player installed? That’s the only thing I can think of. I have the latest Flash player, but I haven’t installed Shockwave player.

macmanx, vist https://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/welcome/ and make sure you can see both menu’s correctly…(I’ve never heard of my site crashing any other browsers…strange).
    giorgio, thanks a lot.
dss, its a shockwave plugin I found at https://www.wimpyaudio.com . You can visit their site for more information on it. If you need any help implementing it, just let me know (it can be tricky getting it to work across many browser platforms). Also, I’ve written a quicktag addition that adds an ‘mp3’ tag so you can just hit that and edit the song name rather that having to post a bunch of code manually.
    Thanks for your help guys….

I snagged the recent version of Shockwave and both movies load. I’m still crashing though. Odd….I’ll have more time to look at the crash logs tonight.

I’m having no trouble viewing your site or playing the audio file using my home iMac G5, same Safari and OS version. I guess the crashing problem is isolated to my PowerBook. …yay…a fun-filled night crash log reading.

Yeah, but everyone needs Flash Player. Animated Flash content is just about as popular and annoying as animated .gif’s.
