Safari renaming downloads

Safari is renaming the download to the name of the folder the plugin is installed in. For example if the plugin is https://www.xyz.com/downloads then safari names the downloaded file to downloads.zip.
I changed the content type in settings to octet-stream – Safari names the file downloads with no file extenstion.
