Safari not finding template_directory files

  • Wondering if anyone has ever had this problem…not sure if it is an .htaccess thing or a theme issue but this site

    works in FF, IE and Chrome, but when I open in Safari it cannot find anything that has <?php echo get_template_directory_uri(); ?>

    I updated the theme header with absolute pathing for the styles and JS to get those to work for now, but its breaking other things such as uploaded images, media etc. on inner pages.

    Does anyone have any idea why this doesnt work in Safari? I also tried uploading a mobile theme and tested on an iPhone and I get same result so I know it is definitely a Safari issue.
